When I sit back and think about it, I've known Keri for almost my whole life. We met back in the days when figure skating was as much a part of our daily life as waking up and falling asleep. We trained together at Mariposa and competed against each other for years. Years! It's so awesome to think about, really... What an amazing experience I had growing up! I'm so lucky that I was able to participate in such a wonderful sport and meet such amazing people that would become a part of my life for years to come.
I was really excited to see Keri after so long... and meet her beautiful, growing family. After a few months of trying to schedule a date, we met on a Thursday morning in beautiful downtown Barrie. Of course, the minute I pulled into our meeting spot it started to rain, so we quickly re-routed part of our session to the MacLaren Art Centre. What a beautiful building and such a welcoming staff. Keri's daughter had just turned three - what a ham! Seriously, she's adorable, as you can see by the photos. And she's going to be a big sister! So there was a lot to celebrate during this session.
Keri, thanks so much for contacting me to photograph your family - it was so great to reconnect with you. I can't wait to photograph that little bundle in December.
Here are a few favourites from our session.
