I woke up to pouring rain on the morning of Sarah and Jeff's September wedding. Rain means good luck, right? Right! I drove to Sarah's place where she was getting ready and I have to admit that my "photographer heart" sunk a little when I saw their beautiful farmhouse, barns, and cornfield. Sarah's parents had spent so much time getting their property "just right" for the wedding and I knew the rain meant we wouldn't be outside to take advantage of all the beautiful backdrops. That being said, as soon as I got inside and saw Sarah, I was reminded that the morning of the wedding is about the excitement of the day, and not about photo locations. I should point out that Sarah made all of the beautiful flower bouquets and bouttaniers herself - so talented.
Their ceremony and reception was held at the Orr Lake Golf Club in Elmvale. As soon as I pulled into the driveway, the clouds parted and the sun began to shine. Would this be an outdoor ceremony afterall? Yes! I think we were all thrilled with the news : )
Sarah and Jeff, thank you for including me in your special day as your wedding photographer. You make a beautiful couple... and Jeff.. you haven't changed a bit since high school. It was great to see you again!
